Here’s what’s new in Labrador CMS.
Labrador AI: Tailored Prompts
Our AI capabilities now include customizable prompts to better reflect your publication’s voice. The new AI prompts can now be set up to reflect your site-specific tone and voice.
Key Updates:
- Custom Prompt Layers: Configure base, site, and user-specific prompts in Admin Pages.
- Test and Compare: Evaluate customized results against default AI prompt.
- Supported Features: Customized prompts now apply to Article Summaries and Quote Boxes.
- Switch between AI providers: right now the options are Chat GPT 4o from Open AI or Google Gemini Pro 1.5. We are working on implementing Claude as well.
The Labrador AI is on its way to become as customizable as our users want it.
Enhanced Article Sharing
As a result of collaboration with our newest customer Faktisk.no, a fact-checking news outlet, we've improve our article-sharing functionality.
Improvements Include:
- Embed Articles Anywhere: Use the Article Settings panel under the “Styling” tab to create custom embed buttons. Embed full articles or article teasers on external websites.
- Flexible Placement: Position the sharing button above or below your article body.
- Admin Control: Enable this feature for your site via Admin Settings, but note that embedding is configurable on an article-by-article basis.
Your content is now ready to be embedded anywhere you want in a matter of minutes.
Find what you need, Fast
With the amounts of content available on the news websites, search option is crucial for both the users, journalists and editors. We’ve upgraded our search features to include:
- Author filtering
- Tag and publication date filters for readers
The result? Faster, more intuitive access to the news and stories that matter.
Deliver Articles for External Services
Need greater flexibility? You can now hide headers, footers, or both using URL arguments to tailor your articles for external services.
Self- Service Improvements
We constantly work on giving more ownership of the publishing process to the journalists and editors, reducing dependency on developers, and cutting costs. We continually add more self service to our Admin pages.
